frequently asked questions

How long does a barrier treatment last?

Treatments last 21-28 days. We schedule treatments every 21-25 days to insure optimal barrier protection.

When should I begin treatments?

For best coverage it is recommended to begin treatments in early spring before the mosquito eggs hatch. When temperatures reach 50 degrees on a regular basis, mosquito eggs will begin to develop.

Does anyone need to be home during treatment?

No, our certified technicians are able to complete the job  as long as your gate is unlocked and pets are inside. We will send a reminder the night before treatment if any additional accommodations are required please let us know.

Is the barrier spray safe for people, animals, plants and pools?

Yes, it is safe for people, plants, animals and pools. The active ingredient in our barrier spray is Bifenthrin. For more information check out the Bifenthrin General Fact Sheet.

Does rain effect the treatment?

No, rain has no effect on the lasting residual treatment. However, If rain occurs on treatment day, we will reschedule ASAP. We do not spray in the rain.

How long after treatment can I use my yard?

We recommend a 30 minute settling period after treatment before using your yard.
